NASCAR at Richmond: Odds, key stats, bets to consider for second playoff race

Brad Keselowski made his third consecutive win Sunday in the opening playoff race in Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but a fourth straight win seems unlikely as NASCAR heads to Richmond’s brief track for Saturday night’s Federated Auto Parts 400.

Richmond is a flat, 3/4-mile track that’s quite like New Hampshire’s and Phoenix’s apartment monitors. Drivers who have had success have been contenders at Richmond.

NASCAR visited with Phoenix and New Hampshire after each earlier in this season. In the summer, Kevin Harvick took the checkers, but Kyle Busch led the most laps. Harvick also won at New Hampshire, but it was Kurt Busch leading the most laps.

Keselowski completed 15th and 32nd at Phoenix and New Hampshire this year, but he’s finished 11th or better in the past six races at Richmond. A top-10 seems likely for the No. 2 team, but there are drivers more healthy for the short-track racing on Saturday.
